About the Club
Who United Pet Club Inc. is, how the corporation is structured, and how it relates to the United Pet Club platform.
United Pet Club Inc. is a member-governed nonprofit corporation, incorporated federally in Canada under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. The club sets the mission and standards behind the United Pet Club brand and runs the club's programs — recovery, certification, education, and community.
The club is not a software company. Its platform — the website and apps where members, breeders, shelters, and pet owners actually do things — is built and operated for the club by a separate operating company, so the club itself stays what it is: a club.
One brand, three corporations
Three separate legal entities carry the United Pet Club brand, each with a distinct role:
| Entity | What it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| United Pet Club Inc. | Nonprofit corporation (this site) | The club: owns the UnitedPetClub trademark, sets the mission and standards, runs the club's programs, and answers to its members. |
| United Pet Technologies Inc. | For-profit operating company | Builds and operates the United Pet Club platform and its software services under license from the club. |
| United Pet Commerce Inc. | For-profit commerce company | Seller of record for the platform's own product sales in the United Pet Club store. |
Where the transactions happen
This corporate site carries no accounts and no checkout. Everything transactional — creating an account, club membership, donations, certifications, store purchases — happens on the United Pet Club platform.
Because three entities share one brand, every checkout and receipt on the platform names the legal entity you are transacting with — memberships and donations are received by the club, platform subscriptions by the platform operator, and first-party store orders by the commerce company.
